I’m Shelby

I’m the kind of photographer who shows up with intention and works hard for your photos. Rain, harsh light, a timeline that shifts at the last minute: whatever the day throws my way, I adapt, solve it, and keep going until I have the images you’ll want to hold onto.

I care about making images that mean something to you so I pay attention to who you pay attention to: the person who makes you laugh, the grandmother you keep glancing at, the detail you spent months choosing. Those are the moments you’ll want to relive, so those are the ones I’m watching for.

For seven years, I watched couples feel like their wedding day was a photoshoot, with timelines built around shot lists and moments created for the camera. So I do it differently. You lead the day, and I bring a fine art background and an editorial eye to photographing exactly what happens.

I’m LGBTQ friendly, I’m in your corner, and I believe your wedding is as much about the people you love as it is about the two of you. If that sounds like your kind of day, I’d love to hear about it.

Shelby is phenomenal! My husband and I are not comfortable around the camera and usually tense up when cameras are pointed at us, but Shelby is extremely intuitive and knew what direction we needed. Our photos are organic and not posed. She did a beautiful job of capturing the essence of our wedding and went as far as taking beautiful family photos of our friends and their children. My guests even commented on how amazing and kind she was at the wedding. She knew exactly what she was doing and I could not have asked for anyone better. She is also just a kind and genuine person. Shelby was truly a highlight of my husband and I’s wedding day. She was SO accommodating and flexible and just a very reassuring presence on a very stressful day. She was easy to communicate with in the months leading up to the wedding and incredibly efficient in getting us our pictures afterwards. She had a great vision for poses and clear communication in wrangling our bridal party of 20 and was also open to preferences that I had.
